We were contracted by the Niagara Region to enhance pedestrian safety by installing a new crosswalk on the busy St. Paul Street in St. Catharines, directly in front of the Meridian Centre. Given the heavy traffic in the area, our team took a careful, efficient approach to ensure the project was completed safely and with minimal disruption.

The installation began with the removal of existing sidewalks to prepare the site for new infrastructure. We then poured concrete bases to support the new traffic signal poles. Steel sectional poles were installed, along with skirting for added durability and visual appeal. Ground rods and grounding wire were also installed from the URD boxes to the poles to ensure proper electrical functionality.

To complete the project, we installed new concrete sidewalks to create a smooth pedestrian path and applied temporary line painting on the roadway to mark the new crosswalk area.

This project highlights our ability to deliver safe, reliable pedestrian infrastructure in high-traffic areas, ensuring both functional and aesthetic enhancements to the community.
