Sid Grabell Contracting is a Canadian-owned and operated electrical and utility infrastructure contractor proudly based in Thorold, Ontario. Since our founding in 2012, we have grown into a full-service electrical contractor with over 45 skilled employees, delivering safe, reliable, and efficient solutions across the Niagara Region and surrounding communities.

From complex industrial facilities to large-scale civil and utility projects, we have the experience, equipment, and in-house expertise to take on projects of any size — and deliver results you can count on.

Our mission is simple: deliver safe, reliable, and high-quality electrical solutions while supporting our clients’ projects from planning to completion. We aim to be the preferred electrical contractor in Ontario by combining experience, professionalism, and innovation in every job we undertake.

Our History

Founded in 2012, we started as a small regional electrical contractor focused on local projects. Over the years, we have expanded our workforce, fleet, and capabilities to handle complex projects across multiple sectors, including transportation, municipal infrastructure, food processing, and landfill gas recovery. Our growth reflects our commitment to quality, safety, and client satisfaction.

Full In-House Capabilities

Unlike many electrical contractors, we own and operate an extensive fleet of specialized equipment, allowing us to control timelines and respond quickly to project demands. Our in-house equipment includes:

  • Excavators and civil construction equipment

  • Directional drilling rigs

  • Hydro excavation (hydrovac) trucks

  • Digger derricks and boom trucks

  • Bucket trucks and utility vehicles

This gives our clients a single contractor solution for underground, overhead, and on-ground electrical infrastructure work.

A Facility Built for Growth

In 2023, we expanded operations into a 13,000 square foot shop situated on a 10-acre property in Thorold, Ontario. This facility allows us to:

  • Maintain and stage equipment in-house

  • Fabricate and assemble components

  • Support multiple crews and projects simultaneously

  • Continue growing our team and service offerings

Our location strengthens our ability to serve the Niagara Region, Golden Horseshoe, and surrounding areas efficiently.
